What could be better than filling those late summer days with fun events, to help keep those back-to-work blues away?

Well, BMAG have one such event that you will definitely want to get in your diaries (and grab your tickets for).

Blakesley Hall Ale and Cider Festival, taking place on 8 September, is the ideal cure for those end of summer woes. Sipping on drinks in the stunning grounds of a magnificent Tudor house certainly sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday. Add in live music and some tasty grub and you have the makings of a wonderful afternoon.

Blakesley Hall is a fine Tudor house, built in 1590 and set in beautiful grounds, just a few miles from the city centre. If you’ve never visited before, what better excuse to go and check it out than this brilliant festival? It’s great to get out of the city every now and then and explore the hidden gems in the local area.

Between 11am and 8pm, guests will have the chance to sample a selection of craft beers, ales and ciders from some of the top Birmingham brewers. Confirmed for the event are Church End Brewery, Two Towers, Froth Blowers and Snails Bank. If ales and ciders aren’t your thing, there will also be tea, coffee, and a selection of wines and gin available too. So you can grab your tipple of choice and take in the beautiful grounds as you sip away, and listen to the live music.

To keep you fed throughout the day there will be delicious gourmet pizzas from Perfect Pizze and the Bavarian Swing Grill providing authentic German cuisine. What could be better to accompany your beer than a mouth-watering pizza or a fully-loaded bratwurst?

Tickets cost just £5 each, and kids go free. Plus, visitors will receive a FREE limited edition Blakesley Hall beer glass when they buy a ticket (while stocks last). So, grab your tickets and head to Bakesley Hall for a day of drinking, feasting and fun.
