Located on Hagley Road, Colbeh is the Persian restaurant where you’re welcomed in like family.
Fresh off the back of a stunning refurbishment, Colbeh have flung open their doors once again and are ready and waiting to welcome you back in for a taste of their mouth-watering dishes. The space is looking stunning, the new menu is packed full of incredible flavours, and the hospitality is as warm and friendly as ever.
Along with the décor, the Colbeh team have updated the menu too. The new menu is packed full of mouth-watering dishes, giving an authentic taste of Persian cuisine, with dishes representing each of the different regions of Iran. Using traditional family recipes to represent one of the world’s most ancient styles of cooking, you’ll find everything from fragrant rice, slow cooked stews, fragrant fresh herbs, perfectly seasoned meats and more, all packed full of flavours and spices.
The new menu features a selection of both hot and cold small plates which are perfect for sharing, or to get a taste of lots of different dishes. Alongside the small plates, you can also enjoy House Grill dishes (think mouth-watering grilled meats with a choice of side), and traditional dishes like Stew of the Day, Baghali Polo Ba Ghosht (slow-cooked cut of lamb on the bone, broad beans and dill rice), and lots more.
If you have a sweet tooth, then you must try one of their decadent and down-right delicious desserts. From delicious ice creams (think chocolate and hazelnut, or saffron-infused ice cream with pistachios) to Affogato, and mouth-watering Baklava. If you can’t decide between Baklava and ice cream then go for their delicious combination of both – an ice cream sandwich of Baklava and saffron-infused ice cream, the perfect combination.
To make sure the drinks are just as delicious as the food, the team have been taste testing and recipe developing behind the scenes, to ensure that all of their cocktails are in tip top shape. Whether you like something sweet and fruity or something short and sharp, they have a drink for everyone. Of course, there are plenty of other drinks on the menu too if you’re not a fan of cocktails, so don’t worry you’ll find something tasty to sip on while you tuck into your delicious food, whether that’s a glass of wine, a crisp, cold beer, or a refreshing soft drink. They also offer tea and coffee, including infused Persian teas.
The name ‘Colbeh’ means cottage in the Persian language of Farsi, and every detail at this beautiful restaurant has been hand-picked to give that welcoming, cosy feeling of stepping into a family home. From the hanging lanterns offering up a soft, warm glow, to the traditional rugs lining the floor, the arched mirrors and intricate embroidery adorning the handmade decorations, there are so many thoughtful details. The interior is beautiful and the perfect mix of luxe and cosy, making the space perfect for any occasion, big or small.
