Introducing Kilder.
Located on Shaw’s Passage, Digbeth, Kilder is the craft beer, natural wine and cider bar by the team behind Original Patty Men.
Not content with slinging out some of the very best burgers in Brum (and probably the whole country), the guys from O.P.M. decided to add another string to their bow, in the form of an awesome bar tucked away under the railway arches behind Moor Street Station. This bar is all about high quality drinks and great vibes, and it might just be your new favourite watering hole.
On the menu at Kilder are all manner of great quality drinks from locally brewed craft beers to the tastiest natural wines and some seriously cool and dangerously drinkable cocktails, they have it all. They have 22 taps featuring a range of beers and ciders as well as some delicious cocktails (Cosmopolitan on tap? Yes, please! In fact, how do we get this installed in our house?) so there’s a great range of drinks to choose from. With the likes of Floradora (gin, lime, raspberry, ginger ale), Tommy’s Watermelon Margarita (tequila, lime, watermelon, Maldon salt) and Cosmopolitan (vodka, triple sec, lime, cranberry) on tap – there’s a small but big hitting selection of tasty cocktails to enjoy, as well as a couple of canned cocktails available too.
They also have a wide range of beers by the can and the bottle to choose from. So whether you like a lager, IPA or stout, there are lots of options to choose from, including a number of gluten free and alcohol free choices too. More of a wine fan? They have you covered there too with lots of carefully chosen natural wines available either by the glass or by the bottle. If you prefer cider they have lots of those by the bottle and can too, alongside a selection of spirits, soft drinks and more. You’ll be spoilt for choice.
At Kilder you can also tuck into some tasty grub while you enjoy your chosen drinks, thanks to their pizza concept ‘Corner Shop’ which runs every Wednesday and Saturday (remember you can also enjoy 10% off pizzas at Corner Shop with your IB App too). Tuck into some mouth-watering deep pan Detroit-style pizzas as you sip your nice cold beers, natural wines and tasty cocktails. Sounds perfect. There are bar snacks available at all times and quite often they have kitchen takeovers too. But if there’s no pop-up when you visit you can always pop next door for an epic burger from O.P.M (or order online and have your burger delivered to you in the bar).
The interior at Kilder is a wonderful mix of cosy and cool, with industrial touches reflecting the location under the railway arches, chic wall tiles and a mix of bar tables, trestle tables and booth style seating giving a choice of seating options for everyone. They’re dog friendly too, so you can bring your best furry friend along with you.
