Located on Highfield Road, Edgbaston, Cake & Culture is a French-inspired artisan patisserie serving you a slice of cake with a big dollop of culture.
Inspired by the French pastisseries you’ll find across Paris, with counters filled with the most exquisite and perfectly crafted cakes and pastries, this chic and sophisticated coffee shop is bringing a little Parisian charm to the streets of Edgbaston.
On the menu at Cake & Culture you will find all manner of beautiful cakes and sweet treats, to add a little glamour and style to your next coffee break. Their pastry chef has a wealth of experience crafting luxury cakes from across Europe and the Middle East. Each cake is made in-house using premium ingredients and classic French patisserie techniques.
If you’re in the mood for a slice of cake, they have a wide selection of luxury cakes on offer, from their signature C&C Cake (a decadent vanilla cake layered with hazelnut, kadayif, chocolate ganache and topped with caramelised peanuts) to the trendy Dubai Chocolate Cake (rich chocolate cake featuring pistachio paste, crispy kadayif, smooth chocolate ganache and pistachio garnish), as well as lots of other tantalising flavours including coffee cake, fragrant Persian love cake, and more.
Naturally, as well as the delicious cakes, they also have a range of beautifully crafted pastries, which have been created to reflect a deep love for flavour and heritage. Enjoy classic buttery croissants and pain au chocolat, alongside spiced pastries and seasonal specials inspired by global flavours, alongside delicious cookies and eclairs.
If you’re not in the mood for something sweet, they also have a selection of savoury options inspired by French cafe culture and shaped by Birmingham’s diverse cultural community. Whether you choose a light and fresh Burrata Orange Salad, or a Goats Cheese and Fig Topped Sourdough Toast, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
To accompany your chosen baked goods, they have a carefully curated and thoughtful selection of drinks. From delicious speciality coffees made using beans from around the world, to mouth-watering matchas, hot chocolates and tea blends, they have a great range of hot drinks. On warmer days, enjoy one of their refreshing iced drinks including iced coffees, iced teas and iced matchas, as well as a selection of soft drinks too.
As well as their cakes and pastries, you can also pick up some stunning hand-crafted chocolates. Available in a range of vibrant flavours, these are the perfect indulgent treat when you want to add a little luxury to your day (or select a few as a gift for a loved one, in one of their beautifully presented gift boxes). And, of course a French-inspired patisserie would be nothing without beautiful, hand-crafted macarons. You can indulge in these delicate Parisian sweet treats in a selection of exquisite flavours (think Mandarin, Pistachio, Raspberry and Rose, and more).

The interior reflects their strong branding with their signature orange colour scheme throughout. With plush seating, and high ceilings, marble floors, big windows and lots of natural light, this is a truly beautiful spot in which to unwind and take a moment out of your day with delicious drinks and gorgeous sweet treats.
