The shortlist is in!

Since announcing the Independent Birmingham Awards earlier this year, we’ve had a tremendous response to this new and exciting take on an awards evening. The IB Awards aim to break free of the traditional, corporate awards nights – creating a fun and inclusive environment which truly champions the terrific independent businesses, in all sectors, that lend our city such a unique character. The special places that are off the beaten track, but forever hold a place in our hearts.

The IB Awards will be a brilliant night of great food, great drink, and great people. It’s an event for the independents, to celebrate their successes and the love, passion and devotion they have poured into their businesses and this city.

We’ve had over 800 nominations for the inaugural IB Awards, showing just how much passion there is for Birmingham’s independent scene. And now we can reveal which of your favourite independents made it on to the IB Awards Shortlist, of which the winners of each category will be announced at the IB Awards on Monday 9 September.

Congrats to all who made the shortlist, the competition was fierce (there are so, so many incredible independents out there doing amazing things in Birmingham). Here’s who made the shortlist:
