Is there anything more magical than a freshly baked pastry from a local bakery?

How about a freshly baked pastry from a local bakery situated on the banks of a lake? That’s right, this particular bakery is located in one of the most picturesque places in Brum, and is the perfect weekend stop off or mid-week meeting spot. Here’s why…

Introducing Sip & Slice.

Located on the edge of Bracebridge Pool, Sutton Park, Sip & Slice is the sister venue to the awesome gastro-pub, The Bracebridge, serving coffee and baked goods to fuel your adventures.

We love nothing more than stumbling across a fantastic local bakery where the pastries are fresh out of the oven, the coffee’s hot and the staff are welcoming. In fact, discovering bakeries is one of our greatest pleasures in life, and when they come with a beautiful location to explore, that just makes them ten billion times better, which is why we love this sweet little bakery stop even more.

Sister to the next door gastro-pub, The Bracebridge, Sip & Slice is the perfect place to meet your pals for a catch up over some high quality food and drink. From brioche buns to freshly baked cookies and indulgent croissants to decadent doughnuts, you’ll always find an array of perfectly crafted baked goods to choose from, each as tempting as the last.

Alongside the tantalising selection of artisan baked goods, the Sip & Slice team also offer a range of brunch baps (sausage, bacon, or go wild and have both) every weekend and on Sundays they serve delicious roast baps too (beef, pork or chicken) – perfect for when you need something warm and comforting or you’re looking for something a little more filling.

The coffee at Sip & Slice is provided in partnership with the awesome Quarter Horse Coffee so you know that every single cup is going to be absolutely top notch. Whether you go for a Flat White or a Mocha, every single cup will be high quality and provide the perfect fuel for a wander around the stunning lake (or fuel for eating more pastries, either way). If you’re not a coffee fan then don’t worry, they also have teas and hot chocolates, as well as a selection of cold drinks options too! So there’s something for everyone.

Speaking of cold drinks, how about a nice cold beer with a view over the lake? Sounds ideal, right? Well, you’re in luck because as well as their hot drinks offering, Sip & Slice also have a selection of craft beers on tap including IPAs, lagers and stouts, alongside an alcohol free offering too. So when summer rolls around, pop on your shorts and sunglasses and go grab a cold one on the Sutton Riviera – we like your style. And soon they’ll also be serving cocktails too – now that is fab!

Do you know what goes really well with craft beer? Pizza! We kid you not, this place has thought of everything. On top of enjoying top notch baked goodies and premium coffees, you can also grab an epic wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza, courtesy of the good folk over at Cofton Pizza who are slinging their cheesy, doughy goodness Wednesday – Sunday at this unique little spot. That’s your next pizza fix sorted!

The bakery itself is situated in a converted barn from where they serve their delightful coffees and pastries hole-in-the-wall style. Whether you choose to grab-and-go to enjoy as you leisurely stroll around the lake, or whether you collect your order and perch on one of the picnic benches overlooking the lake, either way you’ll be pleased with your life choices.

Make sure you head over to Sip & Slice to enjoy baked goods, coffees, craft beer, cocktails, pizzas and more!
